BARRIE PACE CASE STUDY

Senior technical designer, Pamela Kosanovich has years of experience working with the apparel industry's proprietary Product Data Management program. When she started looking for an electronic solution for Barrie Pace to replace their existing manual process, she is determined to find a solution that meets the following criteria based on her past experiences with PDM program:

• Match her department's budget
• No or low maintenance cost
• Easy to use and learn
• Quick Implementation
• Cross platforms and widely compatible with current technologies
• No or low additional cost for additional users in the future

It took Pamela very little time to find out about Design Specs Workbook via the search engines, and shortly after, she purchased a copy online . In order to utilize Design Specs Workbook to the fullest potential , she decided to hire us to customize the program for her. Several e-mails and phone conversations later, we had finalized and work out the following modifications:-

1. Implement different "Point of Measure" for specific garment types
2. Implement different "Size Range" for specific garment types
3. Implement specific "Grade Rule" for different size ranges
4. Add their own "Top of Production" Form
5. Add their own "Statistical Sampling" Form
6. Add their own "Quality Control" Form
7. Eliminate forms in Design Specs Workbook that her department will never used

It took us 10 hours to finish this project and it was an instant success. Pamela now cuts down tremendous amount of paper work and redundancy tasks, track and manage the new styles with ease. Her assistant starts using Design Specs Workbook afterwards with virtually no training.
