Tiffany Siegel studied Clothing
and Textiles with an emphasis in Fashion Design. She received
a Bachelor of Science from Michigan State University in
1991. During and after her education, she worked at two
tailor shops and maintained a home sewing business.
She began her CAD career by accepting a training position
with Computer Design, Inc. in Grand Rapids, MI. Duties included
training clients and CDI employees; creating training courses,
materials and imagery; customer support; and Beta software
testing and enhancement requests.
After two years, Tiffany accepted a CAD design/management
position at a childrenswear company in Manhattan. After
six months, she decided to challenge herself further by
starting her own CAD freelancing and consulting business.
As a consultant, Tiffany assists Apparel and Textile companies
mainly within the New York area. Services provided may be
as simple as answering basic CAD questions, to building
and reorganizing CAD departments. She also assists companies
in hiring CAD operators and designers. As a Textile Designer,
Tiffany spends most of her time working onsite with U4ia
clients.
Tiffany held a part-time faculty position as an instructor
at Parsons School of Design for five years. She taught U4ia
classes within the Bachelor of Fine Arts and Continuing
Education departments.
As a consultant, Tiffany researches all CAD vendors in order
to recommend the best solutions for her clients. She also
works with some vendors to provide Beta testing and offer
enhancement solutions. Currently, she assists with three
packages: U4ia, ScotWeave and Fashion Toolbox.
Tiffany has consulted and designed for several major corporations.
Due to confidentiality and the awareness of industry competition,
specific clients shall not be listed. Tiffany provides most
of her services within the New York area, but she is also
available worldwide when travel and lodging expenses are
provided.
Holly Henderson is
a creative professional and a leading industry Computer
Aided Design (CAD) expert with over 20 years experience
in fashion and textiles design, retail, product development,
marketing, corporate management and technology education.
She began her career as a fashion illustrator for Simplicity Pattern Co. and was a knitwear designer, working for Kitty Hawk and Counterparts Sportswear. She was a pioneer in technology and among the first to use a computer to program her designs. She "became addicted to using the computer as a design tool" and in 1987, opened Deerwood Designs, Inc., the first CAD and Product Development studio in NYC, It was there, where she worked with major companies such as Liz Claiborne, Macy's, Leslie Fay, Jones Apparel Group, and many others to first introduce them to technology. Since then, she has worked with Federated Merchandising Group as a Design Manager and now is an industry Consultant, who has helped many companies implement various types of Design technology into their businesses. Holly is a Fashion Design graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC, where she also enjoys teaching various CAD applications and regularly conducts educational seminars. She lives in upstate New York, where she raises her four children, is involved in community service, loves sports and is a coach of a girl's softball team. She currently is back in school, pursuing a Master's degree.
